It is an unfortunate fact that public confidence in our legal system is eroding. High costs, delays and increasing legal complexity have all contributed to the public’s misunderstanding and distrust of their judicial system. Central to these issues is the role of the lawyer and his relationship with his client and the public generally.

As a practicing litigation lawyer for fifteen years, I gradually came to be so completely disillusioned with our legal system that I left the practice of law entirely. During my time away, I came to realize that I did not have to change the legal system; rather, I could simply change the way I practiced law - by adopting a principle- based approach to law.

This web site is designed to help those in need of legal assistance to ask the right questions - both of themselves and of the lawyer. I hope it will assist you in making the right choice for your legal representation.

My Priciples of Practice
In order to do something well, you must put all of yourself into it. For me, practicing law simply for the money I would earn was an exercise in frustration.
